when doing cardio on the bike at the gym whats the best speed to go at, is it like walking, where a slow pace maintains muscle better then running, or should i go at it quick? thanks
 
Okay, then. By many accounts, interval training is the way to go. (A usually brief - 30 minutes) workout that alternates intensity (speed, resistance, incline). Tons of programs on the web and probably here, as well.
