Cardio in the morning

I have heard over and over again that morning cardio produces the best results. The reasoning sounds very logical too. When you have nothing in your body to burn you burn fat aswell as rasining your metabolism for the whole day. Id like to know if a cup of coffee is a no no before morning cardio. I figured the caffiene could only help and one teaspoon of sugar will wouldnt do much i assume.

Would waiting about 3 hours after a meal and then doing cardio in like the middle of the day be just as good?

I've been wondering this for awhile.

Ive heard that nothing is as good as morning cardio but if u just cant do it then wait atleast 2 hours after your last meal before doing cardio any other time during the day so i guess 3 hours would hurt.

Yes i said sugar and thats what i meant. Im not a sugar fan and will use it on nothing but coffee. and ice cream and soda and twinkies and brownies but thats all i promise

not really. just coffee

it's all a mith. I posted an article on the comparation of early morning vs. any-other-time-of-day cardio...

the lowdown is this: What REALLY matters is that you do it. At the end of the day, what matters are cals in vs. cals out. As long as you do your cardio, youwill burn those calories, depending on the intensity of the cardio, a numbers of cals will be from fat, others from glycogen.

Advocates of morning cardio say that since glycogen stores are low in the morning, your body will tap into fat faster... well, go figure.

I never did morning cardio before, I did allways after my lifting in the evenings, when my glycocen stores were already low, but after a whole day of eating.

This, together with the "low intensity cardio vs. HIIT", are the questions concerninc cardio that will never be answered to the deligth of 100% of the population.

my advice? do as your schedule allows it, but DO IT, damn it.

I know bodybuilders that drink black coffee coz it speeds up the metabolism :coffee:
