cardio help

For the best fat loss, should I do highly intense cardio for moderate cardio? Someone had told me recently that a heartrate just above normal is optimal for fat loss. Is this true?

You burn the highest % of fat at 65-70% max HR. At 80% you burn more carbs but the total cals burned is still higher. I personally don't believe HIIT is for bb'ers. I think it interferes with your muscular recovery and has a high risk of injury. I think you need to stay below lactate threshold which is about 85% and ideal for weight loss is between 70-80% for 45-60 minutes.

listen to dial tone.. it is true, but it's a lot to do with how long you are performing that excercise.

I on the other hand believe in the hiit training. I weightlift and then perfom high intensity cardio on the eliptical trainers for endurance, fat loss. I usually run on that thing for 20-30 a day..but i'm not looking to put on a lot of weight either...

Bigger gains come from lesser cardio :)

Try doing Cardio first thing in the morning, Before you have anything to eat, This will get to your Fat deposits faster,Being theres less Calories to burn..This works wonders for me.

Like DT said, Fukkenshredded windsprints. You want to go all out for 60 seconds and normal pace for 5 then back up. You can spread the sprints by 10 minutes when you're just getting started and then cut the time gradually.

I REALLY suggest you use Cardio Breeze when doing this. Makes is a lot easier.

I think windsprints are okay (but not still not great) if you're 5'10, 190 lbs...but for BB'ers (and I'm talking about guys 225+) I just think the chance of pulling something and missing training just negates the value.
