The cardiac muscle is one that should not be neglected. I already have a solid fitness base so I generally try do 2 cardio sessions a week of 20 - 30 minutes while bulking.
The important thing is to make sure it is not a form of cardio which burns too many calories, otherwise you'll be burning calories that should be used to build muscle. In this case, running is certainly not an option. Opt for swimming, cycling or the elliptical machine. Less stressful on the joints, too.
