cardio best time

There are 2 views

(1) morning, as insulin levels are lowest, facilitating fat burn. Many though would consume BCAA's, whey or some other protein source to combat catabolism. Note whey will cause an insulin spike of some degree

(2) any time, because if u burn more carbs say exercising later in the day, your body will simply burn more fats thereafter. See sports nutrition scientists Alan Aragon's article for this view where he concludes the benefit of morning cardio is a myth: http://www.alanaragon.com/myths-under-the-microscope-part-2-false-hopes-for-fasted-cardio.html

Anytime is better than no time

Upon waking, unfuelled...

Does have to be low intensity though, or you'll become too catabolic.

depends on how much time you have to go to the gym. if you have alot of time, then go in the morning and do cardio. if you are tight for time then do cardio after weights.

would you consume a shake PWO when your msucles need it? Or after the Cardio?
By having it PWO then doing cardio minutes later itd seem a waste as youd use the Shake as energy? Im not sure

Do your cardio RIGHT after you train and then drink your PWO shake. If you drink it first, your body will use the shake as fuel and not your fat. If you have the time (or cardio equip. at home), then do it first thing in the AM-but both ways are fine.

All the recent studies I've read comparing various methods say the same :

1st thing in the AM,
Empty stomach except for ...
BCAA's, and/or HMB, and/or Glutamine, and/or Leucine

this will not raise insulin, only trick the body into not spitting out cortisol and burning muscle. keep you burning fat
