cardio before or after workout?

Should cardio be done before your workout or after? When I do cardio before my workout, I feel like I don't have enough energy for my lift. Others have told me that you shouldn't run after you work out if you want to increase your muscle mass. I think that sounds like bs but i duno

I'm 5'10'' 180lbs 13% body fat. Home for the summer from college. I just changed my routine to weight training 4 days a week and 3 days of cardio. Goal wise I'm just looking to tone up the stomach, put on some lean mass, and the BF to around 10%.

Ok...

Ripped/Cut/Shredded = done in the kitchen. PERIOD.

Abs are not made in the gym.

We weight train to keep (possibly even gain some) our muscle while we cut calories, some do cardio to help the cutting process along quicker.... some don't because they feel as though they loose muscle mass that way.

Ok... you want what we all do... put on muscle, decrease BF, have some abs to show off :)

Train your ass off, eat clean (OFTEN throughout the day), stay hydrated, do cardio after lifting or on "off" lifting days. And you WILL be very happy with your physique.... maybe not your social life, but that's ok

thanks sgs I was thinking along those lines. I have so many stuborn friends who tell me they are right because what there friends did for them worked so it has to work for me. I start to think what I know is right is wrong

over the last few weeks I got rid of 90% of the stuff I thought I "knew" about lifting

the diet: It's pretty bland, but I don't mind exactly. Dinner I don't have to much control over, just eat what is at the house. I usually work out around 3 so I try to get most of my complex carbs in before that, then mostly protein and vegtables.

Breakfast: 2slices of whole wheat toast, 1 serving of quaker oatmeal, 3 eggs(yoke&whites)
snack: bannana, 1 can of tuna fish with light mayo on whole wheat
Lunch: peanut butter sandwhich on wheat, salad with chicken or tuna
snack: raisins, grilled chicken breast(or dinner leftovers) and a protein shake
dinner: usually some protein source and a vegtable/salad mix
snack: Protein shake
