cardio before or after a workout?

when is the best time to do cardio besides in the a.m on a empty stomach? before or after workout? as far as muscle sparring
 
After a weight workout. At this time blood glucose is very low so fat will be utilized more effectively. Never do it before you train as that will depleat your energy reserves and limit your workout.
 
It will open up a catabolic environment. Make no mistake about that. But it's just a better time. Any cardio is detrimental and catabolic in my opinion. I would use diet and diet alone as the sole means for fat loss, but if you insist on cardio then you want to minimize its damage. Either morening or imeadiately following training are the best times to do it for most efficient fat loss.
 
I would never do cardio on an empty stomach... that is VERY catabolic and eats up muscle like you wouldn't believe. Take a scoop of whey or something before u go.

Cardio done on an empty stomach in the AM is not THAT catabolic. the risk:benefit ratio for this is the best for any time to do cardio.

riskybizz007, I have always read the complete opposite of what you just posted above. I think that cardio in the morning is the best regimen to lose bf and not that catabolic at all. :D
