I don't see the value of such a thread. It started to become an argument back and forth which is counter productive and wastes board space...as does posts that question the judgment of the Mod that locks it.

judging by the post respones of these threads, it seems to be what the people want. This is the Chat and Conv. board. And your own moderators start these threads, includeing yourself.

If the thread stays civil, and doesn't resort to name calling then I won't lock it or delete it. That's the only time that action should be taken.....

Although there are many causes of conflict, there are a few situations which are a source of conflict for many people.

 
1. LACK OF RESOURCES - when there is too little to go around. (example: fighting over who gets the "good" basketball in gym class) 

2.TRYING TO IMPRESS OTHERS - filling the need to belong by trying to "fit in" or answer the question, "Who am I?"

 
3. POOR COMMUNICATION SKILLS - misunderstandings between people. (examples: name-calling, ignoring others, "clamming up")
