canned chicken got some eating now

What does that cost per can, I can down anything as long as I don't breath. I have been eating salmon out of a package lately and it tastes horrible.

Chicken in a can is all I eat. I buy the kirkland signature brand from costco. $10 for 8 cans with a little less than 60g protein and 2 g fat per can.

It doesnt smell or taste like that if you soak it in hot water, than rinse it off a few times.

There ya go. I buy the "members mark" ones from sams. 70 grams of protein per can. taste is actually quite bearable. It is better than any other canned chicken I have ever tried, and cheaper too. I put in in a salad with olive oil, balsamic, crystal sauce, and ginger dressing. mix it up and its great.


and as for salt, drain the can 3-4 times by refilling with water and draining. It gets rid of most of the salt.
 
I bought a shitload of that at costco once.. got through 2 cans and had to toss the rest... TOO fucking salty.. I tried rinsing the salt out and that didn't work.. even mixing it in something like a big chocolate shake didn't work either...
 
Kirkland canned chicken is better than tuna, imo. 65g protein per can.
 
costco has 200mg per serving (5 servings = 1000mg)
but i think washing does the trick i rarely taste it, in fact sometimes i add salt!

What is crystal dressing? Is it low fat? I found samsclub to be to dry but with the sauce it sounds good to me.
 
I don't mind canned chicken with mayo. Much better than tuna IMHO, but then again I'm soooo sick of tuna right now.
 
Swanson brand tastes good,not salty at all,eat wheat thins,or a few tortilla chips with it.Stick with the smaller cans,21 protien in them,too much of anything will get nasty fast.Also make sure you get select white meat,or all white meat variety,that dark meat mix IS nasty shit.

i love using it to make real fast meals like fajitas or quesadillas :) or mix it in with rice
 
I wish I could eat that shit out of a can. Great quick, cheap, and handy protien source. I can't even eat canned tuna. Just something about canned meat makes me want to fuckin puke! I can;t even look at someone eating it, or i feel like I am going to gag. The thing is that I love tuna steaks! Unfortunately for my wallet, all my meat is in steak or fillet form and goes on the BBQ, this includes steak chicken beed and sea food of every kind.

When I was in university, my roomate used to eat SPAM. I dont know how he did it, I would have rather eaten shit! He would open up the can of spam, then he would tip it upside down to plop it on a plate. First a bunch of Spam Juice would leak out of the can on to the plate, then the spam would just plop out in one big slimy lump of wet spammy shit! I would rather eat the fear factor dishes of bugs and maggots. And I am not joking either.

My ex-gf used to make Spam pizza and yes, it tasted as bad as it sounds. She loves it though. I consider canned chicken more palatable from the can than tuna.
 
i just housed a can of that chicken, it smells like tuna, has a nasty after taste but shit 60 grams of protien and im locked up for the next 6 weeks..anyone have tricks to eat this shit? i dropped some mayo and bacon bits and it helped a lil bit. tomorow ill try cheese or some shit
 
Any one know if you can pick that up at wal-mart? i live in the middle of no where where i can't get to a sam's/costco/etc...I'll check tomorrow either way, but just curious if any one buys it from walmart.

I usually pickup a lot of tuna and the ladies at the checkout are always looking at the cart full of tuna in awe.

Have any of y'all tried cooking it with some olive oil? I just tried it and it shredded really well. I used it to make some tacos. It wasn't too bad.

Mix a can or two of chicken with one can of spicy enchillada sauce and a handfull of low fat jack cheese. Warm it in the microwave and eat it with a tortilla or two .. totally masks the taste and consistency.

I think they have it at Winn-Dixie or a similar grocerie store, shouldn't have a problem finding it.

Although Sam's does have those 100 packs lol.

Dude that shit is disgusting, it does not even taste like checken or fish. It tastes like what chicken or fish would eat, probably worse. That shit reminds me of Gelfite fish, that shit looks like those embryos you see at the science museum.

Ok guys, i just got back from wal-mart and opened a can of Tyson's canned chicken.

60g protein, and washed the sodium out by rinsing it.

This stuff taste's golden. I love the taste of this stuff, and for $2.50 a can i think it's a great way to get 60g of protein in a day when you get sick of protein shakes.

I recommend this stuff, the Tyson brand any way.

Thanks for bringing this stuff to my attention guys.

depends on what kind you get, the kind i get is from sams, add some fat free mayo plus a little hot sauce and that is some good shit.

canned salmon is also good depending on what brand you get. I usually mix that with some tuna to help with the awful taste of tuna. shitload of protein plus good fats.
 
The Kirkland chicken is good. I mix one can with Canola oil mayonnaise and the taste is great!
 
What i do with mine I dump 2 cans in a bowl rince it out put hot suase all over it and in another bowl heat up some mixed veggies then i put them on the same plate....Lol it takes like an hr to finish but when I do that 150 gr of protein my veggies and all I need after that is 2 cans of tuna and then Im golden.

Sunday-Friday for the last 3 months :chomp:
Breakfast-Tuna(35gr) with pb&j and a banana
workout-Protein shake(2 scoops 40gr) after
Lunch-Chicken Breast(75gr) w/mixed veggies
Snack-Chicken Breast(75gr) w/mixed veggies
Dinner-Tuna (35gr), apple, scrambled egg whites I have 4

Ill use hot sause on the chicken if i decide to not use veggies. But I eat tuna right out of the can I have np with the tase my gf has a problem with the smell though. She makes me eat it in the kitchen only.

LOL and then on Saturday I eat a big Buford comba large for dinner and have a mcgriddle for breakfast lol.
 
i just picked up costco's kirkland brand, im about to whip up a meal with this shit.. ill keep yall posted. btw i paid 9 bucks for 6 cans 75g protien per can!!
