For my parents 50th wedding anniversary (which is today) I booked them a week at a Spa in Lake Placid. This place is awesome. But I just went on their site and noticed their cancellation policy
Cancellation Policy:
If you find it necessary to cancel or change your dates, (a change in arrival or departure date constitutes a cancellation), please notify us at least 14 days prior to arrival and your deposit will be refunded. If you cancel with less than 14 days* advance notice, you will be responsible for the entire length of your stay. We do not overbook, and we guarantee your room, therefore we cannot make any exceptions, (illness, deaths, weather, snowstorm, accidents, etc.). If this policy is uncomfortable to you please consider Travel Insurance or other accommodations.
Is this common? I've never seen this? Is this legal?
So if someone dies or they get into an accident on the way, these f'ers will not refund me?
