This is whats left of my front lawn. No problems with water, but I dug up a section and found grubs. I put down some Diazanon a couple of hours ago...does this stuff really work or shoud I just bite the bullet and re-sod it?

you may have to wait till the bugs are dead and then re sew the grass and put some hay on top of it

wait for the grubs to be gone like Klu said. give it at least a month. keep putting anything and everything that is made to kill the grubs... if that is what is killing your lawn

SoJlue had a clue on this one and gave some good advice!

I hope those little bastards die soon...I've only been home one day and and I'm already tired of hearing "Got a big dead spot huh?" Next time I hear that, I'm gonna say "No...it used to be ALL be dead...until parts of it started to turn green all of the sudden...it's crazy".

once you sew the new grass, make sure u water it alot especially if its hot

I got the auto sprinklers set to 15 minutes per zone (6 zones front and back that overlap) right before sunrise, and about 2 1/2 hours before sundown.

Best way is to wait until about 2:00a....get ahold of a few cans of Raid wasp killer and empty can after can on it. Do this from a distance of about 12-15 feet and be ready to run. Wait until the next night, put a burlap bag of some sort around the nest, yank it down & set it on fire in a safe place with some gas or kerosene or whatever.

A maintainence guy at a hotel told me that when I was in Kansas City at a Residence Inn (lots of wasps there becase theres alot of wood trim on the units in that hotel chain).

yeah theres 2 nests here and they scare me :worried:

Oh yeah...and don't get that Raid near any sparks, light fixtures and don't smoke or anything. It's petroleum based. They make stuff that isn't, but it's industrial grade and you'd have to get it from a janatorial supply...not worth the trouble.
