can the aclu help

i've stirred up a little commotion on another thread about the aclu, well here's an idea. can the aclu help me sue the fast food industry. here me out now. they have used tactics to get people to eat their fattening foods. they lure people in with enticing things like tacos, milk shakes, whoppers, pizza, chicken nuggets and the list goes on. they target the youth with their toys and kid's meals. they have promos for movies which lure people in. they have made this country obese and the number one leading health problem is heart disease. the fast food industry is in cohoots(sp) with the cardiologists and pharmacutical companies in this country and soon around the world. my solution to stop this treatury is to sue them for billions upon billions of dollars(to fill my pockets too) for the medical bills and damages caused by the industry. c'mon on all you liberals give me a shout out and join me in yet another fight for america's freedom. you supported sueing the gun and tobacco industry so help me sue the fast food industry which is the number one killer in the u.s.

hey i like guns but they sued the gun industry too over somethign they had no control over. the fast food industry has control over what they do. they don't have to make mc nuggets so enticing and flashy. they do it though. i'm going to bed now though so i'll check up on this tomorrow and i hope ryan and others will have joined by then.

It's called marketing. True, they market to kids.. but its also true that most parents nowadays are lazy fucks that would rather hit the drive thru than cook their children a home cooked meal.

you still have'nt gotten the jest out of this thead yet have ya? think about why i brought it up, the aclu and other lib groups have been and will continue to sue any industry they don't agree with. well why not sue the fast food industry for making people fat. they claim the gun idustry has killed people. the same with the tobacco industry. well to smoke is a persons choice and if they die from it that is a consequence of doing so. you don't have the right to sue them for that but now the aclu and many others feel you do. so i propose the aclu target the fast food industry and sue them for adding to our biggest casue of death hear disease, not aid, not guns, not cancer, but hear disease. that's right more people die every year from heart related problems than anything. well, i guess we got ourselves a lawsuit, whatcha think ryanh, should we go for it?

also the tobacco industry originally claimed they had evidence tobbacco was good for your health, not at all dmaging and when they had evidence to the contrary they supressed it

i have no idea what the gun industry was sued over.....trigger locks?

as for the fast food industry....they are peddlaing one type of food. it is nowhere as addictive as tobacco. food is a basic human necessity. tobacco and firearms are not. any type of food group eaten in excess can cause dietary problems. look at fruit. its good for you. yet if you eat tomuich fruit you can actually die from it (thats a whole lot of fruit, but its possible, a pop star over here only ate bannana's and got lactic acidosis )

i see your point. the gun industry was sued over nothing really. they wanted someone to pay the cities back for all the deaths and monies it cost to control crime and pick up the corpses off the street. i don't get this country sometimes. why not sue the criminals instead of the gun companies. it's stupid. can i sue ford if someone runs a red light and hits me? no, i due them and their insurance company. it was'nt ford's fault that i got hit. see my point there? i hope so. as for the fast food industry, their food is not a neccesity, and yes it is addictive. some people are addicted to eating mc nuggets or milk shakes from some other place. i also want to sue the porn industry for making me a sex addict. they intice me with their sexy women and lure me in with oodles of women upon women. i admit to being a sex addict, there aint much i can do about it either. so i think i'll sue them too. heck why not sue gas companies for not making their gas burn slower thus making me buy more of it more often all the while polluting the air. my whole point of this is not to sue anyone but to stirr up some ruckus and make people see that sueing over any old thing is plain stupid and it takes away from people's personal responsibility. smoking for instance, people choose to do it, i tried it and don't like it. i choose not to do it, others do it on their own accord. if they smoke for 30 years and die of cancer their family has no right to sue the tobacco industry for their choice. i think the tobacco industry should be paid back every cent they forked out in that lawsuit. why? it was not money deserved for the ones who sued. all that lawsuit did was show people they can blame others for their own screw ups and not have to worry about it cause they can get money for it too. friggin pathetic.
