Can someone validate this?

I was at a grill-party yesterday and met this military dude from Connecticut, who is currently assigned in Stuttgart.

Anyway, since nobody wanted to talk english with the guy we starting talking shit... next thing I know we are talking about the US trend of suing everybody for whatever you like and how that has lead to some stupid-looking warning on articles (like "Please don't inmerse hair-dryer in tub while") etc...

The guy then says to me... "You cannot beat this one, The Claymore mines, they have written in the back "Please don't eat"

Now, is this guy full of shit, or do anti-personal mines ACTUALLY have a warning against eating them? Think about it... It you are deploying a mine and you are stupid enough to confuse it with a Ration... then, well, WTF are you doing near mines in the first place.

If you step on a mine... I don't think you'll be able to try and eat it.

If this is true, what is the reason of it???

This is what a claymore mine looks like:

i wanna see a video of one of those exploding

Not sure.
Another good one is that on some ladders there is a sticker saying not to put them on piles of manure. The temperature may cause the manure to soften and the ladder to fall.
A farmer sued because of this and won!
If I was the judge I would have requested seeing the plaintiff in my chambers... thats where I would have promptly punched him in the face and told him to go home!

"Front Toward Enemy", yeah. "Please Don't Eat"??? Never seen that. If so, it is something relatively new. Considering some of the brainfarts I served with, it may have been added after some incident.

Front Toward Enemy is what's on a claymore.

"Please don't eat" is what they put on the big white mints in the urinals in a Marine Corps Head.

had to get in my monthly Marine barb...

Come on Pintoca

It can't be true

It could have been true if they sold Claymore mines at Walmart though

What! And I had JUST finished giving you K

The best was the guy that sued the company he bought his Winnebago from because he put it on cruise control to go to the bathroom and it crashed. He claimed they should warn people what cruise control really means. The saddest part is he won.
