New member
im not fat, but i want to be cut up in one month.
i do 45 mins to an hour of morning cardio each day, and i will take xenadrine if it is necessary. im 5'11" 150, and i want to be really lean, not big, but just lean. can it be done, how meticulous would my diet have to be? the more info the better, please help! :good:

yes, at 150 and 5"11 you can't have much to lose(I know whats going through most peoples minds BULK heh, at 6"3 and 173 I can't talk though). I wouldn't even determine how strict or not strict you can be. Be as strict as possible that way it leaves room for error.

Dude be as strict as possible as your cutting will last less and you will suffer less.
If you cheat a little here and then there you are gonna regret it as the results won't be there in the time frame you expected.

Getting lean fast...wow, the question that the bodybuilding world has asked since the beggining.

Now, to answer your question: You have a bit of a problem, because from what it seems, you are not "FAT" so you have the last couple of lbs. to lose. Try these ratios: 55/20/25 (protein/carbs/fat) % ....all your carbs need to be low-GI: brown-rice, yams, sweet potato, oatmeal, (beans, if you like beans)...also, all carbs need to be ingested before noon (12)...
Fats need to be all EFA: flaxseed oil, canola,sunflowerseed,grapeseed,sesamese,peanut...etc. (fish has EFA's and quality protein)
Protein: whey, casein and other blends (soy,milk, egg)..as far as real food, chicken breasts, turkey breasts, egg whites, tuna, lean steak Beef Eye of Round

These are just basics. To see how many calories you need a day...BMR (basal-metabolic-rate)=weight x12=calories needed to maintain
Cut about 10% off that the first week and see how you feel, then you can go from there.

Call me weird...but I love doing these calculations and I'd enjoy functioning some numbers for you. The percentages are based on Mr. X's 55/20/25 ratio.
__________

4 cals per gram of prot
4 cals per gram of carb
9 cals per gram of fat
__________

BMR = weight x 12
BMR = 150 x 12
BMR = 1800
__________

Total cals = 1800

Cals from prot = 1800 x 0.55
Cals from prot = 990

Cals from carb = 1800 x 0.2
Cals from carb = 360

Cals from fat = 1800 x 0.25
Cals from fat = 450
__________

Grams prot = 990 / 4
Grams prot = 248

Grams carb = 360 / 4
Grams carb = 90

Grams fat = 450 / 9
Grams fat = 50
__________

So to put everything in a nice, easy-to-follow guide...
(numbers are per day)

Tot cals = 1800
Prot = 990 cals ; 248 g
Carb = 360 cals ; 90 g
Fat = 450 cals ; 50 g

don't even try it man - people always want to get cut up in the shortest amount of time - you'll just end up fucking yourself - plus, those last few pounds are the hardest to lose -- it takes time and patience

- i personally give myself 3 months to achieve a good solid cut -- also - you need a good solid base of muscle mass -- muscles are what make you look cut -- otherwise you are just skinny

Abso-f*cking-lutely brilliant.

I'm serious.

Way too many tiny guys asking how to get "cut" and lose their gut. No flames intended, this is just one thing that's been bugging me around various forums.

im not going to rush anything. i was just wondering how long it takes to see results. i have some muscle mass, so if i lost the surface fat, i would be fairly cut up, not huge, but lean. my body fat is 12.6% which is pretty high for me, id like to get it down lower as quick as possible, but im not going to kill myself trying, i was just wondering how long it generally takes to see desired results.
