Can DIETING (by itself) be considered a cycle?

I just wanted to let you all know that right now I am a very strict diet right now that requires HIGH PROTIEN consumption in which I have large amounts that i never consumed in my life along with low carbs such as Oatmeal and the carbs i get from my shakes...Fats are from meats and supplemented with omega fatty acids.

if i stick with such a diet for lets say.......6 months, would that be considered a cycle in some odd way meaning I should get RIPPED?!!
 
Get Bill Phillips' Supplement Review or find someone that has a copy. I can't remember what edition, but I think it was the second one. There is a diet routine in there where he explains how food can be used to boost hormone levels. Basically it is a diet where you consume an excess of calories for a period of time, then drastically cut your calories. This several times in order to stimulate hormone production. I tried it a long time ago, but I couldn't survive on 1600 calories a day. I have never been so hungry in my life. It may work for you though, so check it out for what it's worth.
 
Stimpy, I remember what you're talking about. It's called anabolic burst cycling. You basically go from 3000-3500 cals a day for 2 weeks , to 1600/day for 2 weeks. So cut cals in half. Supposedly dates back to the stone age. Back when you would get a kill and eat like a king for days, then sometimes it would be weeks without a kill, eating nothing but nuts and berries. The body is supposedly trained to feed off fat during this period while sparing muscle.


I did this diet foe a couple months a few years ago. I remember feeling warn out during the low cal phase. Also feeling like a fucking pitbull on the high cal phase. One side effect I noticed was, eating all those cals(alot from fat) I could really tell my colesterol was getting high. Almost felt like a heart attack wasn't far away. Funny thing is now when I bulk on a cycle I don't feel as bad???


Anyway it worked great for me. Everytime after the low cal phase I would have more muscle and less bodyfat than the last time.

Powerprincess-look it up and give it a try. It might also be called the abcde diet or something like that. Let us know how it goes.

Cholesterol? What's that? :) I eat 16 raw eggs a day.....lol I figure the 8 D-bols I take a day will increase the blood flow enough to blast that nasty cholesterol right out of those heart valves!
