Can clen induce an asthma attack???

My girl is on clen....she and I were running hills yesterday and she had "asthma-like" symtoms with her breathing. She is not asthmatic...Has anyone else had any similar experiences...

Bro do your research, clen is used to treat asthma in some cases, now what it does do is raise the BT, and the heart rate, that could have been the problem. But clen will not give you asthma like systoms, if anything help you breathe better.

I know that clen is an asthma med...I was just curious to see if an overdose may/could cause a non-asthmatic person to have a reverse reaction...I have used clen in the past and have never noticed it causing me to breath easier... Don't be so quick to jump out at someone about "doing their research"...I know what happend and her symtoms were EXACTLY like an asthma attack...

bro, my girl use it all the time...She is a runner and has had some problems from the clen, from jitters to getting sick from too much stimulas from it...it can cause all sorts of problems, like rapid breathing, rapid heeart beats, I can see if she was developing some chest pains and started to panic I can see her starting to feel like an asma attack...did it seem like her throat was closing up?

Jitters, rapid heart beat, ect she has had the whole time...I consider those normal sides...She has been on clen for about 4 months(2 on/ 2 off)...But yesterday she felt like she couldn't get any air into her lungs...a real tight/constricted feel in her lungs...she remained calm but had to gasp/wheeze for air..it was JUST like any asthma attack I have ever seen...

I have asthma and have used many meds for it. Clen, however, even though an asthma med, HAS given me the feeling of an attack. The reasoning from my feeble point of view comes from the fact that I think it dehydrates me to the point that it causes an irritation with the lining of the lungs, which in effect, is an asthma attack.

Interesting...Don't you think that if it was dehydration that caused her "asthma" like attack that muscle cramps would have preceeded her lungs being irritated to that extent??? Again, she is not asthmatic...and in very good cardiovascular health.

Loss of fluid can cause cramps, but I think it would happen much more severely if electrolytes were lost as well. Therefore, I think the lung tissue may be affected independently of muscle tissue if there is still sufficient electrolytes present.
I have a tendency to have similair results with an ECA stack.

So you think that she may have been in a negative fluid balance but her Na and P could have been in normal ratios maybe due to supplementation of electrolytes. Thus, the soft tissues in her body "dried out" so to speak to cause the inflamation...possibly...

I have asthma and have been using Prednisone on and off for a long time.
2 Weeks ago due to a fever the asthma was worse so I took extra ventolin inhaler. When that didn't work I crushed up 5 prednisone and took it. I almost passed out and died thru lack of air. Understand that asthma meds must be changed after a period of time as the body builds up an immunity to what ever you take for an extended period of time and then it has the reverse effect(restricted breathing ability). after 4 months on clen , it's time to get off . . .
