calories on low carb diet.....

Do you guys count calories on the low/no carb diet??? And how important is it to eat 5-6 meals eating a low carb diet?

I do...I just use some fitness software such as www.crosstrainer.ca - it records my foods. I like to see the percentage of protein vs carbs vs fats and total calories in each and overall total. It is very important in eating 5-6 meals a day to keep up your metabolism and to keep your body fueled with foods.

I count calories because I find that on a high fat/high protein low carb diet I always feel full. If I do not keep track I do not eat enough.
 
According to the atkins diet, there is no limit to how many calories u consume, just so carbs are low. Some people say if u eat too much protein, it will turn to glucose kicking u out of ketosis???

Protein is converted to glucose only when your stored glucose levels are low, and your body needs more of it. This is not a problem in keto, since in ketosis, your body uses fat as it's primary fuel source. In keto diets, the only problem you might have with protein is that if you consume too much of it, you might not be getting enough fats to maintain ketosis.
