Calf injection gone bad

I do not post often but have a question for experienced site injectors.

I have done six cycles over the past 7 years. This is the first cycle that I am injecting ever other day. I usually hit both glutes and delts with not problem. About two thirds of my thigh injections are painless, but some just do not work well. I always aspirate.

I wanted to inject the calves to try to force some growth. I planned on 1cc of prop every other day.

I loaded a 25g 1 inch and procceded to pick a spot. I chose the anterior gastrocnemius. I stuck the needle in and felt a numbing dull pain that did not feel like a nerve. I have hit a nerve before. I pulled out, without injecting, and a dark red almost maroon thick blood came out and sat there. It did not bleed. I wiped it up with alcohol.

The next day it was sore and you could see a small dot, and the vein under it. I think there are too many veins in the calves.

Where and how do you site inject there.

Any help is appreciated. If there are any pictures on the web, that would be useful. I have been to 2thicks site, but no calf pictures.

Thank you,

the outside head has the least veins. I've done alot of calf shots and don't really think they are worth it. the only thing I shot it my calves that worked was pgf2a.

alot of it depends on what the weak point of your calves is. in my case the gastrocs are OK but the soleus sucks. Putting oil under a flat muscle like the soleus can result in a lumpy effect that doesn't look good. If your problem is the outer gastroc then injecting in from the outside with a 1" 25g will give a lift effect and make the muscle appear to bulge out more. There is one guy who used to post here who did that in the inner and outer heads with a 1.5" pin and got great results (he posted pics too). I really don't recomend the 5/8" pins for calf shots, you will most likely get lumps.

Thanks Hugh

My inner calves are my week point. I believe the sheeth theory. That we are limited to our muscle size and shape on how we can stretch the sheeth. My calves are very strong. I can perform strict standing calf raises with about 800 lbs. That is the stack and my friend on top. Still my calves are only 16', and my arms are 18 1/2'
