Caffeine and Ephedrine

Guys / Gals,

I am currently on 300mgs of caffeine 3 x a day (one before working out and especially cardio).

Now when taking the caffeine before the cardio, I sweat wicked loads but drink even more, and my heart rate goes to 180bpm at almost mid 30's.

I am not experiencing any sides other than those stated above - no dizziness, shortness of breath, shakes and so on. I have also just obtained some ephedrine which I have never used before but they are 50mg tablets.

Can I add the 50mg tab to my 300mgs of caffeine or should I drop 100mgs of caffeine and add the 50mgs or should I do something different altogether?

Please advise what you feel is best for my fat loss regime?

I'm always one to recommend ephedrine, but with any pre-existing heart issues, it can be a dangerous drug.

BTW, where do you live that you can get 50mg ephedrine tabs? I'm pretty sure the highest dose they can put in tabs in the US is 25mg (of the HCl salt).

It only goes up that high after consuming 300mgs of caffeine and 15 minutes in to some intense cardio - once finished it goes back down to normal levels. Just a bit worried as I have never used ephedrine before and don't know on dosing?

Pointers?

Well, ephedrine is a beta-2 antagonist, which is, to wit, the tissue surrounding your heart. If you're sensitive to caffeine, then you may very well be sensitive to ephedrine.

As with all drugs, start with a low dose and monitor your reaction. I'd suggest a few days with 12.5mg, then up to 25mg. But you shouldn't be having that high of a heartrate with only caffeine. I don't think I'd recommend ephedrine given the information you gave in the OP.

Your heart is a somewhat important organ. Take care of it. Unlike other useful stuff like eyes, ears, and testes, you only have one heart.

If you're not going through the FDA or DSHEA, then you really don't know what is in those tabs.

Do heart problems run in your family at all? What's your resting heart rate? How have you responded to other stimulants besides caffeine?

Man, before I say anything I would need more info bro... I don't like either to be honest... but I have high blood pressure and right now I am close to stroke material anyway... anyway it's not about me.

Do you have HBP.... and if you do discontinue. 180 is the very top of the level I would go, and that's a scary number.
 
Also, is this ephedrine HCl, ephedrine sulfate, pseudoephedrine, norephedrine...?

Some forms or salts are more potent than others.

I don't think I am that sensitive to caffeine but seriously when on 300mgs of caffeine, it is gonna do something.

I am very healthy, no heart problems in the family and I am also on tren, test and t3 - my normal heart rate is low and it's only when intense cardio is being done with all the above and it goes back down as soon as I stop. If doing the same without caffeine and the rest my heart rate is about 145

Dude, if caffeine alone makes your HR jump by 40, I'd be careful with other stims... especially those which specifically target your heart.

I dunno... if you're that close to a HR of 200 without ephedrine, I don't think I'd suggest adding it in.

If you do start it, don't start at 50mg, and don't combine it with that much caffeine.

300mg of caffeine is too much for a single dose.

Cut the caffeine to 200mg, combine it with 25mg ephedrine and 162mg of aspirin (two 81mg daily dose tabs). Take that first thing in the morning.

Bump with 100mg caffeine, 12.5mg ephedrine, and 81mg aspirin in the afternoon.

And yes, the aspirin is important...allows for a prolonged thermogenic effect.
 
the t-3 alone can induce tachycardia ....and why is this in chat?? oh well, too lazy to move it and you are getting good advice--samoth is about the smartest one on the board....well, next to Tat

In 2 wks, fat has been melting off thanks to the t3, caffeine, tren, cardio and diet! Taking it up one level with eph.. Will cut the eph in half at first and see what's up!

Do the same intense cardio with out the supplements and come back and report your heart rate. Then you can make an assessment.

Some people have naturally high heart rates it just depends on where your max is (anabolic).
 
I am trainin for fat loss and keep it around 145 - now it's going around 170-180 when on the stuff mentioned above by doing the exact same thing.
 
x2 on the asprin recomendation. I take 24mg ephedrine, 100mg caffeine, and 150mg asprin before training, and for fatloss. I noticed that when I didn't take the asprin I got more of a "burst" of excess energy, with it it's more of a slow burn- which is what you want I'm assuming. I'd recommend 25mg e, 200mg c, and 150mg asprin and see how you do with that. Cut them big ephedrine in half! Some people are resistant to it though and may need 50 mg. I remember my little 105 lb aunt used to do 3 doses of 50 mg ephedrine per day!

if fat is "melting" off at 2 weeks why bother with adding one more thing? if you have to use the term "melting." how fat are you? post up your stats. i kinda get the vibe you shouldn't be fucking around with eca's.
 
Dear Abbey,

I am currently taking buttloads of caffiene. I cant figure out why I am so sweaty, and my heart beats really really fast when I exert myself. Like fer realz. Oh, Im also taking T3 and am thinking about throwing some ephedrine in there too. I heard Bino mention that there is some sort of inhaler that delivers epinephrine and I think that might be a good idea too.
