Buying a new squat suit.

Im thinking about getting a new squat suit. sure my champion and z-suit are fine, but i want something better..

im thinking something along the lines of a Titan Victor suit...

has any one ever used one of these? i've heard they out perform the hardcore and are about 1/3rd the price. Its made out of the new NXG fabric, so im thinking it could help alot.

To be honest, I don't know alot about the Titan line of suits. But I am thinking of getting a new suit myself. Probably going to be a Frantz Poly. Like the Titan they are about half the price of a Hardcore. And the performance is supposed to be very comparable to a Hardcore. Everyone is different though...what works for one doesn't always work for another.

i like the way the NXG fabric feels.. which is why i want the suit. Its so stiff. compared to poly, and just seems so much better.

I don't know much about the other suits but i currently have a double canvas squat suit made by Ernie Frantz and if you want to add anywhere between 150 - 200+ pounds to your squat you need to wear one of these suits. THey are amazing. I had a tremendous difficulty breaking 1/4 squat position with 675. If you are a very experienced lifter you need this squat suit. if not then this squat suit may be too much for you. I has the tendency to want to pull your hips underneath you. I have seen this suit do some amazing things in terms of squatting. But it does take some time to learn and understand to get the full benifit out of and it is rather pricey they go for about $200 a suit. Basically a dollar a pound once you figure the suit out.

Well I tried BigOkie's Frantz Canvas, and I f/n LOVE IT. When I put it on I could tell that it was a SERIOUS SUIT. I have yet to REALLY test it out, but I have taken some weights in it, and it is more than solid.

As far as Canvas goes though...Ginny Phillips suits are supposed to be even better...that is a scarey thought. And for those of you that like Karin's Bench Shirts...she is coming out with a Denim Squat suit. Benchmonster talked to her the other day and it is going to be $150 including shipping, custom made, and the price includes one free alteration.

Yeah I almost mentioned that in my post. Canvas info wont do you much good. You like the Titan NXG stuff, so I say go for it. Having confidence in a suit is important. Let us know how it turns out.

I am unfamiliar with the USA PL rules but if you use something like a titan suit can you wear a brief underneath. And i have another question about knee wraps. Is their a length and width restriction? I own a pair of TP 5000 knee wraps and they jus kick ass. i have currently squatted 660 in a double poly brief and the TP 5000 knee wraps. I was thinking of competing in a USAPL meet but want to make sure that the double poly brief and those knee wraps will work. if not i think that i will just stay in the APF.:die:

USAPL requires only single ply POLY suits and shirts, and no breifs. i've heard about the TP5000, and i think those are 2 ply... they are sewn and glued together i think. not sure though.

And a 660 squat is pretty damn good
