what really sucks in this story is that she probably already told cops everything she knew and they of course simpathised her and told her that they will drop everything if she will help them out... I wouldn't even start talking to my wife if that would happen to me... Genarr is right, lawyer is the ONLY person I would talk to... But the problem now is that (I bet that already happened) cops now have written statement from her...
there is still a chance a lawyer can fix something up here...

True, but are you telling me she didn't know it was illegal? I don't believe he held a gun to her head to do this. She knew the risks. It still sucks though. She WAS just helping a guy out. And now this is posted on a public forum. Let's just say...not the smartest thing to do.

The guy who put her in this position is an ass hole. If the package wasn't opened she has a great defense as to not knowing it's contents as long as she didn't open her mouth already which she probably did because she was scared shit.
