I have alotta pain in my right shoulder. I can't even approach what I may be able to lift or the reps I may be able to do if I didn't have this pain.

It feels like the bones in my shulder are rubbing together.

Does anybody else have this and what treatment is there for it (OTC)?

OTC Glucosamine HCL - 1000mg ed. Works great as long as you take it. Otherwise there's tons of natural stuff like shark cartilage etc that should be longer term.

I had an arthritic ac and bursitis. there is no permanent fix but surgery. best thing i ever did. all the drugs and other otc supps & physical therapy were bandaid fixes.

the rubbing feeling u r experiencing (sometimes it clicked for me) is where the cartilage has worn away. my surgery re-sectioned back the ac and scar tissue was allowed to form which now cushions it. it has never felt better.

EXACTLY!!! Sometimes times it clicks!! AND IT FUCKIN HURTS WHEN IT DOES!! Surgery would be tough cause I can't afford to be ot of work, I own a construction company and still do alot myself.

How long wre you down for? How long till you got back with the weights?

i had my surgery on a wed and returned to work on monday. but i have a desk job. the only real positive thing about this injury is that unlike a rotator cuff surgery nothing is being reattached. u can go back to your normal routine within 2 weeks if u can stand the pain. i was in alot of pain the first 2 days but by monday i was out of the sling. in 2 weeks the stiches were out and in 4-6 weeks i was lifting light. i was totally released by week 6 but as i said he told me i could do anything as long as i could handle the pain. he said to expect 6 months to a year of possible residual aching pain as it recovers. but i had no pain after 4 weeks i think. he said this was do to my weight training and most likely my body's quicker recovery ability than the average non-trained person. by the 12 week mark i was going balls to the wall. i was just taking it super easy though i could of started sooner.
