Burnout set after 5x5 routine

Hey guys, I've been working with the 5x5 routine then 2 sets of 8 of another exercise for 4 weeks now and I was wondering if I could throw in a set of burnouts for each muscle, like pushups, or flyes, or just a burnout of the core exercise like flat bench at the END of each session. Is that an ok idea or will I burn out the muscle by doing too much work?
