Burning Hips

Wanted to know if anyone has experienced this and if so what was the outcome. I get a burning sensation right at the point you can take you finger and push on the hip bone (greater trochanter). I recently got it in both hips. The doc says it's from repetitive use. In my cause heavy squats. The doc says that it's typical in runners but they get it on the outer knee. Doc says that I have a bursa that's inflamed and as I squat the ITB (iliotibial band) that runs right over that point on my hip and the bursa rubs and irritates it as I do squats. I've had to lay off squats and my grappling ...it sucks. I have had 3 cortisone injections (with anti-inflamatory) in each hip and it made it feel better for 3 weeks. Basically I have to have surgery and have the bursas removed.

Has anyone had this? Any luck with pre-surgery remedies? Any luck post surgery?

Thanks guys

i have had hip flexor problems from playing college hockey. once i started a fairly simple, but consistent, stretching regime, it went away.

Docs advice was rest and start stretching better. it worked but we may be talking about 2 diff. ailments.

i had bursa problems on my elbows and that was a direct result of contact to the area and i remember the Doc called it a "popped bursa sack". this was a one time thing though. yours SOUNDS to be more of an "over time" thing.

Yes mine is a repetitive use thing and going to heavy. But thanks for the info. By the way I just order sume Sustain...how is the stuff?

sustain is good. IMO it should be used in conjunction with clomid and Amp02 for p'c't

its not going to totally replace anything

I used to have that same problem when I played college baseball, the cortisone should help bro it did the trick for me.

I've had 3 shots in each hip. How many do I do before I do the surgery do ya think?

Thanks

I actually was off for 6 months and I just started 2 weeks ago with 500mg Ultra Test and 400 EQ. Would deca help? It's the bursa sack that's inflamed so I don't know if the Deca would help.

Thanks

What gear are you on, do you use Dec.a or Equipoise - boldenone undecylenate - .

Yeah I think I'm getting conflicting ailments from what you describe. You say inflamed bursa sack and then ITB syndrome. I wouldn't be getting anymore cortisone shots in that area if I were you. That's like getting a shot for Achilles tendinitis. Not good. There is a great chance of weakening those tendons and having them rupture.

It's a repetitive and over use injury. Yes, runners get them but so will heavy squats going past parallel or beyond your usual range of motion.

Lighten up or take a little time off. Hit the NSAIDS, ice it, stretch it and maybe even try box squats for a while to limit your range.

I know laying off is not what you want to do but you have a pesky injury much like Achilles tendinitis and if you don't take care of it now it will be a chronic thing.
