burger on the forman grill ok for cutting?

is it ok to have a burger on the forman grill while dieting? it cuts more than half the grease out of the burger and its a change then eating chicken everyday...since im not eating carbs is it ok to eat a gorge forman grill burger? or is it not good oon the vutting diet..i am not sure about the ratio to cut but some eat jus t oatmeal in the morning as their carb source but i rotate eating my carbs and eat 40 grams of fat..im 125 llbs..and 190 grams of protein...is this good for cutting and retaining muscle/??
 
That's a good amount of protein. With regards to the burger, if you're going to do it, get the leanest kind you can. Where I am, that's usually 93%. I don't think there's anything wrong with that to a certain extent. If you're close to a sticking point in your diet and having a hard time with those last few pounds, I would avoid it, but if you're at a higher bf% and losing weight, I don't think its as much of a problem.
 
It wont hurt to have a burger instead of chicken every once and a while...sometimes i'll substitute steak with chicken and have good results.
 
90% lean burgers are ok in moderation, and no forman grill does not elliminate more then 1/2 of the fat, only unsaturated fat, saturated will remain in the burger no matter how its cooked
 
chicken is a much better choice as the burger has a lot of fats which equal more calories, plus the saturated fat is the hardest nutrient for the body to burn so it can easily be stored as fat, once in while wont kill u though but i would try to stick witht he chicken as much as possible

How did you come up with this? Saturated fat melts. Since a lot of the fat in a burger is saturated, a lot of the fat that leaves is saturated. Just take the grease and let it cool to room temperature and you'll see.

i think palm kernal oil is the (there may be another one) exception to the solidify at room temperature rule, thats why they like to use it in many protien/food bars, because its got the longer shelf life of a saturated (i suppose i should say less unsaturated) fat like those hydrogenated poisons.

o/t for those of you that like drink oils, if you keep sunflower oil in a fridge that is set to a low temp, it thickens into a most awful disgusting thing, the texture almost made me puke :)
 
I believe red meat is fine when cutting. As i've said before, when implementing a low carb diet, you need to consume fat for energy....bottom line.

Yeah, DDC was called on that one when he posted the same thing in another thread. Something about the meat being too dense (???). Yeah, I don't think it's a problem either.

before my show last oct. for a day or two (cant remember have it written down somewhere) I ate 6oz sirlion burger and grapefruit for 5 meal/day. And i was shredded
