Bumex vs. Lasix

adrenalined

New member
I came across Bumex back in 1998. I have used it to rid myself of water ever since. It is considered a loop dir. Can anyone tell me how Lasix compares to Bumex? I know that Lasix is also a loop, but Bumex seems to be a bit more harsh, and work faster.
I tried all the Pot. sparing dir's, but they all made me feel like crap, and you had to use them for several days. Bumex can be used 6-12 hours before, and you are good to go. But I am having trouble finding Bumex.I found some in Canada, but I am not counting on it getting here. The Rx there said 4-5 weeks to ship?? A

Bumex is very similar to Lasik. Booth are loop diuretics. It is often used in people in whom high doses of Lasix are ineffective.

The main difference between the two is bioavailability. Lasix is incompletely absorbed in the intestine (60%) and there are substantial inter individual differences in bioavailability (anywhere from 10-90%).

Bumex has an absorption rate of roughly 80% and a bioavailability of 70-90%. It is a much more predictable diuretic and stronger diuretic as a result.
