hey im 17 5'9''... i used to be 205lbs 34% bf (when i just started to diet 3 months ago?)

now im 16.5% bf and 180 lbs

i would like to find out more information on bulking once im done trimming down...how much lower should i go till i should start bulking?

besides you guys posts....is there any sites on how to effectivly and properly bulk?

any pointers for me? is the 'clean 'bulking' better?

thanks in advance

bro for clean bulking just eat high protein and in the new issue flex said you should eat alot of veggirs good for bulking, and stay away from carbs

I always though you need a decent amount of carbs for energy, if your cutting, keeping carbs low is good but for bulking i always though you needed them so you can get some good lifts in the gym..

I could be wrong, i'm not one who really counts carbs, so hopefully someone will correct me.

Also, there are carbs in veggies like broccoli and such, i read the same issue you did bro, wasen't a bad artical, i tryed to up my veggies since.

11%? You'll lose a ton of your muscle. Try getting to 9-10% BF and then bulk. Anything above that and after you finish bulking you'll be a fat ass again.

i already lost 14% see.... you say i will lose a lot at losing 11% bf more.... but you are telling me to lose 8%.... will 3% really be that much of a difference in muscle?

and i wasnt really fat, i think it was like water weight or somthing :P

hell no its not true............

Sorry but you are just plain wrong. Someone going from 30% to 25% will lose a lot less muscle than someone going from 10% to 5%

yo holla i dont think there is anythig wrong with eating whole weat bread it is definiteley better than white bread and there are all sorts of different syles available i like arnold hearty classics also i dont think that you should cut too many carbs out while dieting or your training will suffer and that means muscle loss as for how much muscle loss you will experience varies from person to person so you gotta experiment to find what works i think carbs are very inportant to us bodybuilders and they should be carbs fron whole food products not refined just my 2 cents

See Mr. X's posts (sticky) on bulking basics. If you haven't already, start counting calories and grams of food consumed. Try to eat at least 1 g of protein for every lb. of body weight, and 1.5-2g of carbs for every lb. of body weight.

So, a 200 lb guy would eat 200g protein and 350-400g carbs.

This is what works for me, you may need fewer carbs, but YOU NEED CARBS TO BULK. THERE IS NO WAY AROUND IT. Stay away from sugars and saturated fats.

Kudos on the weight loss so far... keep it up!
