Bulking Question

My gym has free fitness assessments every 8 weeks. They measure height, weight, strength, max VO2, flexibility, and BF%. They give you a printout to compare with your previous #'s, which is pretty cool.

Anyhow, I've been bulking for the past 2 months. According to the assessment, I've gained 5 pounds of muscle and 5 pounds of fat in that time frame. I know I'm gonna gain some fat with the muscle, but how much is too much? I'm at 15.5% BF right now, which is about my upper limit. Thoughts?

If you feel comfortable I would just keep doing as you are doing, but if that's not the case you should throw some cardio in or adjust your diet accordingly.

Well, this certainly isn't something I've mastered as I get pretty fat when I bulk. But, this fall, I plan to employ some of Doggcrapp's bulking methods for putting on lean weight; Low/no carbs for my last 2 meals and cardio on empty stomach in the mornings.

What i do is stand in front of the full length mirror. I always have 2 thoughts

I want to lose fat
I want to get stronger

Which every is the strongest thought is the one i go with

lose fat - cut
get stronger - bulk

Been bulking for a bit now.... i'm a fatboy, but getting stronger is more important for me atm

It is really up to you how much fat you wouldnt mind putting on.

I myself dont like to go over 12%, but again that is just me and my insecure vanity kicking in. 5 pounds of muscle with only 5 pounds of fat is actually pretty damn good results for that time frame.
