bulk, chicken or beef?

Beef. Specifically liver. It's cheap as all hell(like $.50lb) and is loaded with nutrients. It tastes f'n horrible unless of course you are a culinary genius like moi!!!!

Moose and elk have higher protein values than fish, chix, or beef. Turkey has more than chix.

hhhahaha! :RADAR I like liver with onions. Steak here.

I know some hunters that come back from trips with a ton of it. They keep the tenderloins and striploins and they usually sell me the rounds and ground meat for dirt cheap. I do have to portion and cut takes for them so it's like a little trade off. It's well worth it IMO.

Good call on the esoteric meats!!! (Moose and elk have higher protein values than fish, chix, or beef. Turkey has more than chix.)
BUFFALO is good too!!!

All I hunt is deer but I do eat plenty of that, other than that I say both. When cutting I would say chick, but bulking both for me. Hell I had a 1/2 pound burger today.

seems to have a lot of iron/vit a and other goodies but i was always under the impression that too much = increased purine concentrations in the blood = bad

beef for bulk hands down

saturated fat and cholesterol have a direct roll in testosterone anyway.

Out here in MX the closest is a ill feed road chicken and closer to the moose will be a donkey or a cargo horse......last one tastes great....

Once you have buffalo or ostrich, (sausage, patties, ground) you may never go back to ground beef (aside from the price)!!

It's actually leaner than chx too.......

Steak. I'm so sick of chicken breasts that the sight of them makes me want to throw up. I eat a 1/2 lb steak e.d., on or off. I also eat a ton of tuna.

VERY TRUE. Elf and Deer are AWESOME sources of lean protein (only had moose once, it was ok). I got a 8 point elk last year and am just now finishing that bad boy off. Man they taste so good and just FYI, if it tastes "gamey" it's bad meat. :D

However, I would eay any of them if they are lean and fresh. I think thats the key.

I meant ELK not Elf meat. I have not eaten an elf........yet. But if they are high in protein.......

seen alligator and kangeroo steaks in a market here in ireland. shame deer is protected species id like to try it.

I would prefer beef as its tastier buy chicken is way cheaper.

after workout id have a 50g protein shake and then my suppper which would be either chicken or beef. pork sometimes.

later on at night i would have 2 chicken breasts with chilli sauce. tastes great

One of my buddies at the gym told me that his dad died of eating too much red meat because it has some "acid" that fuk you up in the long run. i'm diggin that up right now!

My grandpa is 68 years old. he eats red meat every day, smokes, drinks, and has eggs, bacon or spam everyday for b-fast. He's as skinny as a twig, and when he was recently at the doctor they said he was in perfect health. Go figure.

Gator is AWESOME.

Only times I would recommend chicken over beef is:

1) save time as chicken is easier to cook than beef
2) variety
3) taste (Though I like beef better anyway)
4) Price (good cuts of beef cost more than chicken)
5) can't think of any other reason

I would not replace beef with chicken just for leaning out either, just buy leaner cuts of beef.
