Has anyone here ever built there own kayak from a kit? If so how did the whole process go?
Im thinking of buying a kayak kit that once build can easily convert to a two seater, a trimaran sailer, and a sliding seat rower. Plus the look of cedar and mahogany is beautiful. So for around 1200 buck I should be able to have a nice set-up that you couldn't buy for more than three times that. Oh, the one I'm looking at is a Mill Creek 16.5 hybrid from Chesapeake Light Craft.
I know someone has to have some input on this subject.
