Ford dealership has been giving me nothing but headaches, we test drove the car on Sunday and took it cuz they shoved it down our throat without having the financial institution confirm the loan, next day we go to check on the status and deliver some ppw and they still hadnt heard, my husband mentioned the speakers weren't working since in the online description of the car it said it had 6 speakers, they said no problem bring it in and we'll take care of it, we signed the purchase/contract 2 days later, we bring it in and they say 4 speakers are blown and they'll "meet us half way" with the repair and our share is $100, we were pretty pissed since we reported it BEFORE buying the vehicle, yet we rolled over and agreed, but yesterday before taking it my husband found that the speakers are only $100 so all they are doing is putting labor, so my husband went and threw a fit and after discussing it with half the damn dealership they agreed to cover it, today we dropped the car at 8:15 and they returned it until 11:15, we go to pick it up in our lunch break and my FUCKING door is BROKEN, they broke the part that attached the panel to the door and now the panel is lose, I asked WTF they gonna do about it and the guys said they'd have to run it by management and call me tomorrow, I have a feeling they're gonna tell me to fuck off but they fucking broke the thing
when replacing the speakers.
People at this dealership are a bunch of dicks, even told my husband yesterday he wasnt a real customer because he bought a preowned Chevy and not a new Ford :mad: if they sell something and I buy it that makes me a fucking customer damn it... we even got their damn warranty and all :mad:

Can they tell me to fuck off? aren't they liable?

I know :( I just rollover and take it, hubby on the other hand didnt want to take it and that's why he spoke his mind and got the speakers replaced for free... I just dont know what my options are if they refuse to take responsibility for breaking my door panel....

Call the BBB and whoever is in charge of the bureau of automotive repairs in FL (most likely the department of Agriculture), or at least threaten to do it if they don't fix the door.
 
I just hate confrontation and making a damn scene over $100, but it's not fair I mean I KNOW they broke it...

Nan, here's my motto when it comes to dealerships: Expect the worst. Hope for the best.


There is almost no way to leave a dealership feeling like you got a good deal. It's their business to fuck you and fuck you hard (no lube). Even if you *think* you got a good deal, you still got fucked. That's a fact.

I'll tell you what Mexicans excel at - it's jaywalking. They can be 10 feet from a cross walk, but the entire family will be standing in the middle of the road looking for a chance to cross.

I ALWAYS leave thinking I made a good deal. I don't go in thinking I'm going to be putting a hurting on the dealership or roll out on their actual invoice, butt I NEVER let them move me from the bottom line that I feel comfortable paying after extensive homework.

Sounds like the experience with the GF's preowned Pontiac G6 from a Chrysler dealership. Took forever for them to fix crap that they should've taken care of before she bought it.

I bought a preowned Jeep from a Ford dealership with no problems at all. It depends on the place I guess.

But also, wtf. That's so weird. I need to get my car looked at on a regular basis bc it's fucking possessed and they do shit for free for me all the time when I tell them they fucked up. Be more of an asshole, nan. :D

It's just so hard for me to give people attitude, I'm probably gonna try this time because it really is their damn fault, I dont see how they can try dodging responsibility on something so obviously their fault...
 
And fuck Annie's friend that works at a dealer. I have family member that's a finance manager at a toyota dealer in Tampa and I hooked the desk manager up with teh joose.

It took them days to arrange financing because they were trying to find a lender to buy your paper. They probably were waiting for some other prime paper to come in to couple with yours to shove down the lenders throat as a package deal. Lol

Also, if you got 9% you probably qualified for 6.5% or so. Not sure what the usury law is in FL. PWNT!

I wouldn't say the warranty is useless. I'd like to hear more about it first.


Again, rate bump will depend on our states usury laws. Here it's 2.5 points 60 or less. 2pts on 72+

Never sign shit if everything promised in the transaction hasn't been delivered prior or without the missing items listed on a "we owe" signed by an agent with the dealership.

If it isn't in writing they don't owe you dick.

what they actually promised was to fix the speakers and after kicking and screaming they did, HOWEVER, they broke my door panel while doing it, door panel is like $120 :mad:

doesn't fuckin matter what they verbally promised. Had you been halfway intelligent and got that shit in writing you wouldn't have had to go in kicking and screaming.

they just called me and told me they have the new panel and will cover it, YAAAAAAAYYYYYYYY so glad we didnt have to fight.... I just wanna be done with it
