Bruising after injection

hey guys,

just wondering about this.
I have been injecting on thighs for the past cycles but this time, i got a slight bruise...it is getting lighter now after a week.
my question is how do you get a bruise in the first place when you have been injecting there with no issue before?
this time, i remembered when i first injected into the thigh, there was a slight pain when starting to push the needle in but i ignored it and continued.
after injection and while pulling the needle out, blood flow out which is not normal as i usually dont bleed on thigh injection.
that is then followed by slight bruising at the site but no pain, bump or swelling.
did i hit a vein or something? any way to prevent that? i assumed i'm to avoid injecting into the same site until it's fully recovered?
please advise, thanks.

Yea..Bruising should go away in about a week or so just ice and massage the area, you probably just scraped or got to close to a vain which is what would cause blood to flow out, but I doubt u hit a vein. what size needle were u using.

Im using 25g/1.5....and the needle went in all the way.
I use 25g for thigh and glutes injections.

Usually I only need to go about 1 inch with a 22g. I've hit veins before and they will leave a lump and small bruise but it's nothing that doesn't go away within the week. Also when I have hit a vein I definitely bleed when I pull out the pin. Gotta have the alcohol and cotton swabs on deck 👌
