Bruises not going away! Help appreciated

Im a boxer, and lately Ive noticed some odd things. This one side of my cheek, right below the eye, got bruised from a good shot about 2 months ago, and the discoloration STILL wont go away! Ive also noticed, on the other side but the same "below the outer eye" area, that my skin is a little discolored (brownish) too. I never even took a shot on that side, so now Im not even sure the other side is from the good shot). Problem is, neither are going away! WTF is that all about, am I getting old and dont heal well anymore (just turned 29)? Are these possibly sunspots (I dont EVER tan?!)? Age spots (im not that old damnit!)? Anything I can do about this? (microdermabrasion? any special supps? Maybe just try to exfoliate like a mofo?) Any and all help GREATLY appreciated.

Maybe your starting to rot! J/K!!! Hmm? The only thing that I could think of is bruising under the skin, but not sure.....

BUMP! :)

i know that sometimes blood pooling under the skin from bruising or surgery can take a while to be absorbed.....like when I had knee surgery, there was reddish/brown spots all the way down to my ankle....it moves around too.

same thing with my arm....me and some of my friends like to punch each other when we drink and get rowdy...lol...sometimes those bruises take weeks to go away.

maybe try some heat and a little massage to get more blood flow to that area??

hopefully not much to worry about.

yeah I was paranoid about liver/kidney issues, but wouldnt that give me "spots" all over, not just these two "under the eye" areas and nowhere else?? Anyone know what they give people trying to get rid of "sun spots" or "age spots"???

Can anyone say for sure if this might/might not be the "yellowish brown" skin discoloration that comes from kidney probs? Do those happen anywhere specific or would they definitely be "all over" and not just in these two spots like me?? Shit, now Im kinda scared

any of you actual Dr.'s around? Or you guys I trust more than doctors like macro/huck/fonz/etc w/ any thoughts on this?? thanks

I'd definitely get some blood work done (CBC) if I were you. A low platelet count can cause make bruizing easier and also delay healing.

any more opinions/suggestions. I dont have insurance and cant really afford bloodwork right now, but soon enough Ill get my levels checked if they dont go away. But any more opinions for now? thanks

well I had a basketball game about a weak ago and this dude headbutted or should say we bupmed our heads into each other and it landed right about the middle of my cheek but next day my bruise was right bellow my eye on that bone if you know what Im talking about.. it wasnt big but I was suprised it appeared in a different spot... so basically it looked like a black eye just on the lower side of my eye on the bone... so maybe the blood from my cheek was pushed up there or something I'm not sure but for a small bruise like that I still have a mark on my face and its been about a week
