Brother wants to juice

CinciLift

New member
Need help/advice on an issue. My younger brother is only 17 but already wants to start juicing so that he has a better chance of getting a full ride to a bigger school next year (football). He's already 6'5", 220 but he is in a hurry to hit about 250. Somone sold him some var and he thinks that he can take that at 30 mg ed and put on some weight and still be clean by the time it comes to testing for NCAA.

I think he's too young to start but he already has the var. First question, can he expect to see any gains off of 30 mg var for 4 weeks? I've never tried anything without test as a base.

Secondly, can someone confirm that var is only detectable for roughly 3-5 weeks after discontinuation?

Tell him to stick to orange juice :D

And to your questions, he's not gonna see 30lbs on var. Sorry but just not gonna happen in that timeframe.

Believe me, I wish he would. He naturally put on 30 lbs since last year and hasn't ever even tried any natural sups (ie creatine, glutamine...)

Maybe I should just steal his var and put it to a better use...

At his age, he doesn't need to juice. But he'll most likely be stubborn like I was at that age....

Just be supportive and tell him the potential downsides to using AAS (depression and lowered natural test production after cycle).

He would have been better off working with a nutritionist and a powerlifter or bodybuilder as a trainer.

in all honesty, he's most likely gonna squeeze regardless of what you preach to him.

so best advice is to try to talk to him out of it but let him know you're always there for advice on proper intake.

after all, you dont want him doin stupid shit with gear..
at least guide him in the right direction.

i agree w/ satch, most likely he aint gonna get much bigger naturally, and he sounds like a big football player so i would say let me juice and help me, if u dont he will do it behind ur back and do it dangerously, help him do it and make him do it in a moderate form, make him do like a 10 week cycle of eq at 300 mg, but for his size u might needa do 600. EQ is by far in my opinion the best sports steroid. u might wanna mention that 2 him.

Hey Instant,

I agree completely about the Eq but I beleive that would stay detectable in his system too long. If he's going to play ball next year he can only use things that won't be showing up on an NCAA test.

Hell, my goal now is to simply keep him from throwing in some Deca that would defi. stay in his system.

Is he still in High School??? If he is, don't let him hit the sauce yet. Tell him to work on his speed, that's how you get football programs to want you. He's 6'5 220, that's plenty big enough for every school in the area to take a major look at the kid. Gear does not make you a better player, especially in high school. College coaches look for kids who can ball, not the big huge stiff kids. So my advice, as someone who earned a D1 scholarship naturally, is not do go on the gear. He certainly does not need to worry about an NCAA piss test until he gets onto campus for preseason camp, which I am assuming isn't for at least another whole year.

Once he gets to whatever school he will be put on a program that will get him as big as they need him to be. Once again, this can happen naturally, I say the only time to go on the gear as a football player is when you are struggling to compete at your current bodyweight and you need the extra pounds just to play. I went into college as a frosh at 6'2.5 275 at the beginning of the summer. By the season I was 286. By the next season I was 305.....I also grew to 6'4 and was 315 by my senior year as a center. I never touched gear when I played. Now I do because I have different goals, and I just like to do it.

I hope you pass that along to your bro! Tell him good luck!!!

6'5" 220lbs isn't big. Tall, YES, big, no.

He could definitely stand to put on an extra 20-30 quality pounds, but definitely doesn't need the juice to do that at 17. If he just focsues on getting better at football, running faster and lifting bigger and bigger weights this kid will probably be a monster, but it's stupid to juice at that age and with that much obvious potential.

Are you sure this is "your brother?"
Sounds to me like the classic "Ive got a FRIEND who wants to know....."

True. And if it is your little brother, tell him slow down, he's way ahead of schedule already as far as size. He's got a lot of natural building to tap into yet, and I'm sure's he's hardly even scratched the surface.

Damn you!! You beat me to calling this guy out.

But in all serious now, I pray that you sincerely speak to your 'brother' aka YOU and convince him not to proceed. Your brother would be taking a greater risk of being denied ANY kind of scholarship rather than getting a full ride. Ask him is it all worth? Is it worth him not even getting into any program? Or would it be of worth to actually work for something. At his age he has nothing else to do BUT GROW! Your brother isn't a professional athlete that has to resources to beat a drug test. Tell him and prove to him that he has enough testosterone in his system at his age to accomplish his goal.

tell him to stay away for a few years, at 17 I was 6'3" now i'm 6'6" - I wouldn't give up those 3 inches for 20lbs of muscle. I did a cycle of 1-test at 20yrs and stopped growing right there, still wonder if I could have had another inch or two had I not.

Also don't worry about NCAA testing, for the most part its a joke nobody ever gets caught he'll see what I mean in a few years.

another idea - give him some vitamin pills and tell him its dbol, the placebo effect has been proven to work-lol

also is he a junior? otherwise tell him its useless if his seinor season is over because the recruiting coordinators already have their minds made up at this stage
btw, what position is he?

Hey Gang,

Yeah, beleive me when I say this is my brother. I'm only 6'1" 200 with no hopes of ever playing college ball. That whole being married thing kinda killed that dream.

Thanks for all of the advice. I'll have to have a heart to heart with my brother and maybe even sit him down in front of this thing for a while and let him read what you all are saying.

Hey Pit,

He just finished his senior season and he's a tight end. He's pretty quick, runs about a 4.8 which isn't bad for his size.

Again, thanks everyone.

Tell him to wait and like BS said tell him to work on speed. Also it really depends on what position he's playing or considering to play. I know alot of college fball players and alot of them have very diff routines. But at that age i would def say to hold off a little more.
