Broke up with my boyfriend of 2 1/2 years last night

I would say that it is probably tough at first.


I went out with a girl for 5 years from 18 to 23.

After the breakup we didn't talk really for about a year, to a year and a half. I think the feelings need time to cool off.

For over 8 years now she is one of my closests friends and someone I can count on to always tell me like it is.

See how it goes, it is hard but not impossible, you just have to make sure that both people really mean it when they say it is over.

beliefs or not, not having sex with her is like having a sports car in the garage and not driving it. While sex isn't the only part of a relationship, it is a pretty darn important part.

Glad that the breakup went smoothly for you...

but I must say something.

I give the guy credit, actually. If he had cracked, he probably would have felt really bad about it if he really really wanted to wait until he got married! Sorry that you didn't get to 'get it on' with him...but I have mucho respect for him to be able to do that.
