Some thoughts:
-Brock Lesnar is no Scott "Big Papa Pump" Steiner. As far as strength goes, he may be comparable but I kinda even doubt that. However, there is a big size difference. I dont know the actual stats, but I'm guessing Brock to be 6'5", 315 or so. BPP is about 5'11", 285. When Steiner was on the cover of Ironman, he said in his interview that he had never 1-rep maxed on Bench, but that he had done 645 lbs once at the end of a pyramid workout. 645 lbs at the end of his bench sets! Thats crazy!! Still, Brock Lesnar is very impressive. Even with Rikishi jumping, stiffening his body to make him easier to hold, etc., that was still impressive to see him throw Rikishi like that. I know I couldnt put a 400-420lb person on my shoulders like that. Although I did once belly-to-belly suplex a 330lb person once in his front yard. I was in awe of myself after that. Steiner is also way way more ripped than Brock Lesnar and occaisionally will do bodybuilding competitions when healthy.
- As for Kurt Angle vs. Brock Lesnar... provided it was a technical match and they both had several months off of WWF to rehone their skills, I think Kurt Angle would win. Brock was an NCAA national champ, Kurt Angle was not only that, but US Champ, World Champ, and beat the best in the world at the Olympics. As for a physical altercation, I'd have to say that Brock would be slightly more likely to win, but with their backgrounds, chances are very few punches would actually get thrown. It'd probably be them holding and trying to throw each other until others showed up. However I doubt this story is true at all as Kurt Angle is a very moral person and in very good with McMahon.
- On the Goldberg/Brock Lesnar comparison, yup. Very much alike. In fact, word on the streets is that they are ripping off Goldbergs gimmick. They both have huge traps and both are insanely strong. The main reason Goldberg is not already in the WWF is that in the WCW, he was making $2 million plus a year. His contract was a no-compete clause, so he cant wrestle for the WWF until it runs out unless he takes a buy out of his contract, most likely for $400k-600k for each year on his contract. So he can sit at home doing nothing and make $2m a year until his contract runs out, or take a buy out for a quarter of that and then go wrestle. Also, the WWF will guaranteed not pay him $2million a year. Vince McMahon, for being a billionaire, is very stingy on the payroll, especially now that he basically holds a monopoly on the wrestling industry. The Rock, Hulk Hogan, Undertaker, and a handful of others are the only ones making 7 figures in the WWF. HHH probably does due to him possibly being vince's true-life son-in-law in the near future (he's really dating Steph in real life). I'd suspect Ric Flair makes high 6 figures as does Kurt Angle, but 9/10ths of the roster probably makes $80k-250k a year + merchandise commission.
