Broccoli Before Bed?

Ok i have a dumb question.

Im wondering if it was ok to have broccoli after my workout and before bed.(they are about 2 hours apart) Last week i had a cup of broccoli and a cup of oatmeal with 1 pack of sweet n low and a teaspoon of cinnaminnamin about 45 minutes after my workout. should i add or drop anything. Im confusededdd:confused:
 
it depends on your goals,but also calories in vs calories out

if u say its 2hrs before bed? some carbs are okay since its your post workout meal and oats is fine
 
I suggest taking a carb with a high GI (dextrose or malo) to replenish your muscles glycogen. I know you are eating carbs but they are not the correct carbs for your body.

I suggest doing a search on dextrose. There are a lot of good post on dextrose here as well as in the supplements board.
 
Hey Kappa,

Why do you eat broccli after a w/o as part of your post nutrition? Wouldn't the fiber in the broccli slow down the absorbtion of the nutri going to your muscles? Please let me know in detail what you eat as part of your post w/o meal and why. Thanks.
 
IMO, you should take advantage of a timing diet following your workout. I found that it keeps me lean and really helps to pack on quaility mass.

As for broc. eat it when you want. Eat it in bed if you like. The fiber and energy it takes for the body to use it makes it like eating water. You are doing good by eating lots of broc. It is great for a cutting diet.
