check this one out.

My GF was living at this apartment for about 6monthes. She moved into another place. She called Hyrdo-Quebec to cancell the electricity but the compnay never did. So the new tenants moved n and used my GF electricity without ever paying. Now 3 years later she get a bill for $600.00 saying she didnt pay her hydro.

Now since this was 3 years ago noone has proof that she moved out!

Now I need help finding out who is living there now. I have the address I just need the name.

We tried calling the landlord to the apartment but he never calls us back.

I need to somehow find out who is living there and if they were the ones who moved in after her.

And then you expect them to write her out a check for 600 large?
These are Canadians we're dealing with, and they are probably thinking the electric is now govt provided..

hehe,

hydro- quebec will not give us any info...

they said we have to do it..

so should I go burst down this fags house and take his lease after I whip his ass?

They can look up the account history and see when the last time she paid, after that, it's their ballgame....she should have notified them when she was leaving and they would transfer the account into the other users name...The landlord can help if needed.

she did call them up. there is a note on the account sayings he did but no reason why she called in.

Lesson learned is to ask for and receive in the mail a CLOSED ACCOUNT statement showing paid in full after moving.

I've seen this when going from one local phone provider to another...

Iknow..

so now I have the address.. I wanna call them but I need a phone number... how do I find it...

also I may just drive up there myself

Yeah, you should always get some sort of account closed deal when you move out.

Women... leave it to them to accumulate 3 years of bills and not even know about it.

if you can show them that she has signed other leases for apartments they may run with it. The landlord should have a record of who lived where when. If anything see him.

Exactly, if her lease lasted 1 year and she never signed a new one yet made the payments throughout that year, then she is not liable.

she left after 6 monthes because she lost her job... landlord make a verbal agreement that it was okay...

Now We cant get intouch with the landlord.
