But in reality, it is liberal idealogy that has led to this institutional rejection of anything resembling competition in the school system.

Everythign is measured on "how does it make the child feel" and pseudo intellectual ideas of self esteem, instead of allowing the children to develop as normal healthy adults who are capable of dealing with adversity and failure.

My other cousins were home schooled to not be around bad influences. I told them the most important things I learned in school involved the ass kickings I got from the older kids. Schools most important lessons are how to get along with people/real world.


BTW. All my smart coddled cousins struggled in the real world. 3 got knocked up in their teens, 1 was date raped her first month at college, 1 of the boys have done jail relating to drugs, 1 did jail for sexual assault

Actually, I want to go into one example.

There was this one kid when I was in grade school that was so coddled and protected, that even in 6th grade he was not allowed to watch anything except G rated movies. So we had to suffer through them whenever we won a contest against the other 6th grade classes (like whoever read the most books got to watch a movie instead of class one day. is that type of competition even legal anymore? it wasn't one of those "everybody wins" contests they have today)

Anyways, one time we are watching 101 dalmations (geigh) and the kid starts crying because the old bag is going to hurt the puppies!

I am sure he is a well-adjusted member of society at this point (16 years later)...
