Bret Michaels's health has taken a turn for the worse, PEOPLE has learned: After an excruciating headache late Thursday night, the star was rushed to an undisclosed hospital where doctors discovered he suffered a massive subarachnoid hemorrhage (bleeding at the base of his brain stem), according to a source close to the situation.

wow, never like to hear stuff like that. Same thing happened a few yrs ago to Peter Gammons (baseball analyst) *for those who don't know* anyhow he was in his late 60's I think and now he's fine and back on TV

If it's any consolation, people with brain hemorrage's make nearly 100% recoveries. It's the stroke victims that are messed up for a long time. So if he's alive right now, it's a good outlook for him.

Bret Michaels’ website has stated: ‘There are several incorrect reports on Bret’s condition,’ which remains critical.”
In spite of reports that Bret Michaels’ state had “stabilized” after he having a brain hemorrhage late Thursday, his website was updated Saturday (April 24), stating that the Poison singer, Bret Michaels, is still in critical condition.


“There are several incorrect reports on Bret’s condition,” the post says. “Bret remains in critical condition at an undisclosed location. Further tests are being ran and information will be updated in the coming days.”
TMZ have told last Friday that Michaels was “awake, in good spirits and talking” identifying Ambre Lake, the season-two winner of Michaels’ “Rock of Love” reality show. The site said that Lake has spoken with people close to Michaels who said he was “stabilized and conscious.” Lake’s status update on the 47-year-old singer was said to concur with a different unidentified “Rock of Love” competitor who is in touch with the other members of Poison.
