You'd think so by now, but when I went on vacation with my friend 2 weeks ago I developed an infecion the night before we left. The day we got to the beach my boob was sore and red on the underside, by that night about 75% of my breast was red and hurting, then as I took my shirt off it opened up and all the bad stuff poured out (litterally about 3 tablespoons). I was on an antibiotic the next morning and all's fine now. This was the first infection I had since the last re-do back in February. I know it was from one of the disolvable stitches because of where it opened up. These stitches were pre-treated with an antibiotic to prevent infection problems like I had the first time, but I just can't go with disolvable anymore. Lesson learned.
I'm still glad I had the procedure done. I just have to wear sexy lingerie to cover the scars for now and I don't really mind that. I did pick up some Dermablend (professional make-up to cover scars) and it works very nicely. I use it when we're having 3-somes just in case the lingerie doesn't stay on. LOL

i'm from LI and surprise surprise... have implants... they look and feel amazingly real, considering that not one guy on this site has even questioned their realness and i'm not shy about posting pics.
pm me for info- my doc was awesome and i'd recommend him to anyone.
btw, i already had big boobies and very full pec muscles (big bencher), so a lot of what someone would feel on me is real breast tissue.

I didn't have any problems at all. I felt great afterwards, but I was filled with pain meds.
When I came home rested for a few hrs. then went for a short walk. Back to doing legs(light) the next day. Back to full body workout within a couple of weeks.
But I think everyone is different.
I don't think or I don't know of a surgeon that would do it local. I would be out! Just like Sassy said.
Just take your time, read get all the information you can..

My mom bought me implants for my 18th birthday. I went from a 34A- a 34D, they are under the muscle and he made one tiny incision along the bottom edge of my areola. My surgery was at 8am, and by 1pm THE SAME DAY- I was at the mall trying on new clothes for my new big chest! I was definitly a little dopey from my meds, but I had no probles at all. No scars or anything!

Did my transumbillically (through the belly button)...no scars...over the muscle....high profile implant for more projection and less of that fake look.

I also had it over the muscle as well... i had very little discomfort that day and the next. as others have mentioned you want to make sure that you have things at level with your chest as it is not a good idea to lift your arms over your head, but your surgeon will talk to you about what you can/ cannot do... it took me a couple of weeks to get back into the gym... i have very light little scars underneath the breast... i went from a 36b/c to a 36d... the only thing i would do differently is go larger!!! someday i'll probably go back and get them redone! i'm from the albany (ny) area and went to the plastic surgery group... they were great!
