I. PEANUT BUTTER AND BACON ON WHOLE WHEAT TOAST
The preferred method of cooking bacon for breakfast is
to have someone who gets up earlier than you do to
cook it. Just order 4-6 slices.
1. Barring that, add the leanest bacon you can find to
a cold pan and cook over medium heat. Turn it often
and pour off the grease as it accumulates to assure
crispness. When done, drain it on paper towels. Maybe
you can do this ahead of time and reheat it in the
microwave.
2. Toast 2 slices of whole wheat bread.
3. When the toast pops up, immediately spread on 2
tbsp. peanut butter, so that the PB melts slightly.
Add the very crisp, hot bacon and assemble. I like the
taste combo of the PB and smoky bacon as well as the
texture contrast between the crisp bacon and toast and
the creamy melted PB.
500 cal., 19g protein, 30g carbs, 34g fat
4. To balance things, eat it alongside a glass of skim
milk and a banana for a total of:
700 cal., 29g protein, 67g carbs, 34g fat.
i read this from a site. wouldnt that be 2 much fat though?
