bp, sq, dead records

Guess i better get on my horse to get that deadlift record...
I guess i have about 11 years to get up some 400 pds...
Can be done... 40 pds per year and i am set...

deadlifts

Gary Heisy pulled the 925, but I also read he gave 990+ a ride once when he was trying to win some nationals or another. The 925 is the oldest record, set back in 92. I think only Mark Henry and maybe one other has pulled 900 since then. Coan and the others did it before Heisy. Heisy however has pulled 900 a few times in competition.

I feel great too!:( I'm only 180lbs away from a world record on my deadlift, 169lbs away on my squat and 123lbs away on the bp!!!!!!:p I still have a long way to go!! What a great source of motivation...Those girls are sooooo strong!

Hey guys, take a look on the women records and you will be ashamed for sure!

Ashamed...yes...i am put to shame...
Very much so.
I am just going to close my mind and act as if i hadn't known them.

On bench, Anthony Clark posted a very controversial 800, and Jaimie Harris posted a regular grip 775. Those are the two highest benches I have heard of. I got those from a list compiled by Herb Glossbrenner in Powerlifting USA a couple of months ago.

Glossbrenner posted the 800 by Anthony Clark, but from what I have read, not many people seem to think that it was a legitimate lift. I cannot honestly tell you why, but there seems to be a fairly wide consensus that it was not a good lift for some reason.

Brent Mikesell recently put up a 1041 squat, beating Ed Coan's 1038, put up a month or two earlier.

Heisey has the deadlift record at like 925. Coan is way up there, Mark Henry has pulled 900, and I think Anno Turtainen and Gerritt Badenhorst are also pretty close to that.
