it sounds like you really dont have any clue as to what is going on with body work...bondo is easy to use but if you dont know what you are doing it can turn into a nitemare...if you mix in too much hardner it will dry too fast and if you dont mix in enough it wont dry fast enough...if you put it on too think it can crack, if you put it on too thick it can crack...
you spread it on with a puddy knife (or a plastic spreader, can be had at any paint house)...you need to sand it well and make sure that it blends into the paint on the body (meaning you cant feel any lines 'cause if you feel lines then you will see lines after painted)...
if it sounds like you are going in over your head then take it to a shop and spend the bucks and have it done right.
