bogus child support law

im sure some of you know this but its new to me. after four years of being together, this dude got his kid tested and found out that he wasnt the real father. now, because he accepted the child as his own (W-5, etc.), he has to pay child support until the biological father shows up

I don't know enough of this story but why didn't he get the kid tested from the very beginning to see if it was his own?

Many States/provinces have a legal presumption against someone who acted as the father for "X" years. This, in order to create a certain stability among families.

They can also make you pay for kids not your own if your wife had baggage before you married after you divorce her. Even if the other guy is still paying.

As I said, very normal. These preseumptions cannot even be defated with an ADN test.

"presumed father" can be ordered by a Judge to accept some financial responsibility if they have helped support the child.

Usually they have shown the child as a Dependant on tax returns, or show the child for more money while working in the military etc...

This is one of the few areas where women have way too much power, usually because of stereotypes that women are somehow more capable, nurturing parents than men. I hate people who lie like this and courts that allow this shit to happen.
