hey guys hows it going. i was wondering something. im 6 foot tall 205lbs, and 20% bodyfat is that a high percent. i dont look fat at all im more cut. can you help please.

that sounds high for somone your hieght and weight, but, if you think you look good and others think you look good I wouldnt worry about it.

but its not an accurate bodyfat percent its from one of them stupid digital scales. them dont even work do they?

I dont use the digital scales..it seems the digital ones have a HUGE window, and are not very accurate. I f you have a YMCA to go to they can check it with calipers and its free.

Right, if you are cut and showing 20% with this device its probably wrong. For example, a friend of mine is the physical fitness coordinator at women's prison, and he brought home a very expenstive bio-impedance device from work to test out, and we both used it. I had been calipered at 12% a week before, but was 28% on this device. My friend had been dieting for a couple of months (he is an ecto), and was the leanest he had ever been. He had viens running though his abes, with very deep abes, obliques and intercoastals. I would have put him at around 6-7%. He was 14.5% on this device.

where can i get one of these awesome devices???

Those bio-impedence things are effected by too many variables to be very accurate. I think if you drink too much water, have caffein in you system and a few other things, it is way off.

When it comes down to it, accuracy is not as important as consistency. Who cares of they are 17% or 14%? You just need to be able to measure in such a way that you can track progress or lack there of. I think calipers are a good choice, but you're going to have to practice in order to be consistent.
