Bodybuilder collapses, dies -Sunday, July 23, 2006

As far as I know, there has never been a study that showed that AAS causes growth in cardiac muscle cells, just happens in skeletal.

Cardiac myocytes do hypertrophy in presence of androgens.....been shown in several studies......just never studied to the extend in which we need it.
Exercise makes both cardio muscle and skeletal muscle grow, with or without androgens....androgens speed up the process in skeletal.......the question is does it in cardiac? There have been studies that show this, but nothing concrete (various changes in how the myocardium is fed blood on AAS versus off is an example of a study i read).

Im concerned about this most becasue LVH is uncorrectable, lipids levels are, as is about everything else with AAS.

I see your side but I disagree because I feel the professional athletes can take that risk because millons of dollars are on the line, well maybe not that much but alot of money in most cases.

I know what your saying though, I understand that normal people want to better themselves as well.

I just feel it is not worth the risk for us regular folk.
millions of dollars is far from the truth with bodybuilding... yes... other sports do have that incentive... but only the top bodybuilders make a good living off the sport... and not even decent compared to other pro sports...
being pro bodybuilder is not worth the risk... that i can say... most have to use rediculous amounts... and dont even make enough money to live off
being a strong... healthy... well rounded individual who uses AAS ...that... to me... and many others... is definately worth the very slight risks...
risks... that imo... are no more than the risks such as speeding... less risk than drunk driving (not that i even dring, just an example)... less risk than stepping into a boxing ring (somthing you can relate to i hope)... less risk than many things that people do everyday... if intelegence is used..........
end of story

You're not understanding what he meant. He's saying theres no point in juicing just to look better bc the risks are not worth the rewards. He's stating unless you NEED to use them to compete and even out the playing field there is no point in taking them. I agree the majority of guys on here have low self esteem which ties in with muscular disformia, thinking your not big enough or have a lil bit of love handles and using something to rid of that shows it.l
not everyone just juices to look better... but still... if done intelegently... the risks are minimal compared to many things people to daily...
you dont have to have low self esteem to want to better yourself...
im a little cocky... so fucking what... alpha male here... and if i can get even stronger and faster and jump higher and punch harder... fuck yes im going to inject a little test... it can only hurt the fool who dosnt know what he's doing... :chomp:

Maverick from the pics you have posted of your self it's safe to say you will never step on a stage and ever compete not even in a novice natural contest you just dont have the genetics sorry bud.You relized that long ago and gave up .No matter how many types or how much steroids you use maverick you will never look like any of us weightlifters/bodybuilders.So please do not tell us what to do and what not to do.You have never used steroids so do not try and educate people on the subject .

Thank you.

1. Its pretentious to think there is only one group of people that deserve to use steroids.

2. You don't need steroids to make it as a pro athlete.

3. Think about what you're saying. Its ok to do steroids to make money. That to me sounds like the last reason you should use them.

4. You're only looking at the extrinsic benefit of steroids. Most people use them for intrinsic value, not for money.

Yes, there are risks to using steroids, but ask the veterans. Proper educated use is not harmful short-term or long-term. When used properly, AAS can be a life enriching endeavour.

I totally agree with you, why not be better at what you do. I'm mainly stating the point that you take a inherent risk when shutting down your endo system for any period of time.
