Bodybuilder collapses, dies -Sunday, July 23, 2006

This was a rip thread to inform us of a fellow bother that had been layed to rest incase they did not know.

Not a abc after school special or a lyle alzzado interview.

Back to the subject.

May he move onto that big gym in the sky, To spend his after life working out with the legends of that past that inspired him to live out his dreams and for ever Be at peace.

Its not just the increased body mass, its the fact that cardiac muscle hypertrophies just like skeletal muscle. When the heart muscle gets thicker and denser, it becomes less flexable and unable to fill and eject blood properly, so other chambers also grow to compensate, you get pulmonary edema and reverse heart failure (begining with LVH).

you can use a sword to kill a man... or you can use it to stop a theif...
everything in this world is what you make of it... :chomp:
so in your world... ...a professional athlete making money has the right to use somthing to improve their overall quality of life... but other people... who have put this same substance into their body... dont share this right... even though they make money some other way (a job)... maintain a healthy family (not all of us go running around crazed trying to fuck everything we see)... may possibly make better choices with their AAS use because they're not trying to set a world record... have better eating habits and overall healthier approaches at their training...
but i guess since the pro gets paid for doing it its ok... that's not feeding into their ego's...
why can't we try to keep up... and be healthy about it? we dont have low self esteem... we just think great of ourselves... and we wouldn't train hard if he didn't beleive in ourselves...
you can be happy with being a worthless punk in life... thats fine with me...
you can have your inferiority... you can match up with the man who trains more intense... (because they can)... you match up with the man who has no fear in his eyes...
sorry but we want the best... i have an ego... damn right... and you would be a slave to your lack of ego :finger: :elephant:

I see your side but I disagree because I feel the professional athletes can take that risk because millons of dollars are on the line, well maybe not that much but alot of money in most cases.

I know what your saying though, I understand that normal people want to better themselves as well.

I just feel it is not worth the risk for us regular folk.

Really, if you don't have the balls to take it, its not worth it and you're better off keeping clean. If you have the balls to take it, you better have a plan on how and when to stop, too. Everybody's got to stop sometime.

not if your name is ronnie coleman :lmao:

but yes, good post DBBT

Maverick, you can't become a pro bodybuilder or even a state level overall winner without gear in 99.9999% of cases. For you to say unless you are a pro you shouldn't, most would never see that level without them. We all know what your point is. The truth lies somewhere in the middle of the unfounded things you say and the unfounded things others say when they say there is NO risk from AAS use. That said, use and abuse aren't the same thing. My problem is that you shouldn't come onto a thread about the death of someone and start chastising and pointing fingers, it makes you look like a brat.

You're not understanding what he meant. He's saying theres no point in juicing just to look better bc the risks are not worth the rewards. He's stating unless you NEED to use them to compete and even out the playing field there is no point in taking them. I agree the majority of guys on here have low self esteem which ties in with muscular disformia, thinking your not big enough or have a lil bit of love handles and using something to rid of that shows it.l

You're an idiot. There is health risk regardless of the dosage, ever had your bloodwork done while on cycle?? PROBABLY NOT

As far as I know, there has never been a study that showed that AAS causes growth in cardiac muscle cells, just happens in skeletal.
