Body Fat and Cycles

Hey Guys, I've been a long time lurker reading threads and gaining info from the knowledgeable members around here. My question is this why is it recommended to have low bodyfat before going on a cycle? Does having less bodyfat make the cycle more effective, etc? Im 6'2 210 with 18% BF 31 years old been lifting 5 years and was thinking about running a cycle of only 10mg ED of Dbol for 6 weeks. This would be my first cycle. Not trying to get crazy.
 
All that would be good for is sparing some muscle while you do a severe cut of calories and up massive amounts of cardio. Dbol in any higher dose would bloat you and retain water and be counter productive to someone with higher bf beucase you will bloat up like a moon faceed monkey. Dbol is not mormally used as a cutter although it CAN be done, ask RADAR, but overall for someone that has no experience it is not suggested.

It sounds like you need to spend allot more time researching what is used for what goals and why. Also learning how these compounds react in your body so you can understand why cycling at higher BF%s isnt the BEST idea.

I was planning on doing a cut while trying to keep muscle. The only reason I was gonna use dbol was because its something thats available through a friend. I understand there are better aas for cutting. Im just going with what i have available. Thanks for the reply.:)
 
first anything can be used to cut/bulk imo
2nd at 18% you dont need roids to cut.. you could eat a super low cal diet and you will not lose much if any muscle. that will not happen to you are under 10% or even less for some people and thats where cycling properly can lead to some really great cutting benefits.

most people say wait til you are low bf% to cycle because most likely if you want to cycle but cant get a low bf% then something is most likely off.. diet,training,rest etc.. i do know some people dont care about bf% though
 
You're out of shape and not ready for roids. A dbol only cycle will bloat you our badly on your current diet and you may just end up fatter.
 
just an update after listening to some of your responses I decided to not juice. I did some more research and have been doing a fullbody HST routine along with 3 HIIT sessions a week my diets been real clean and strict for the last 3 months and i gotta say this new routine has got my Bodyfat just melting off like never before. Im glad you guys talked some sense into me and Im gonna hold off on AAS until i've exhausted all natural pathways. Some of the different approaches Ive learned while being here completely fly in the face of all the crap i use to do out of the muscle mags with no results and aching joint, by switching to a fullbody HST program and not going to failure on every set im already becoming stronger and adding size in a short period of time. TO ALL THE NEWBS TRY SOME OF THE PROGRAMS IN THE TRAINING STICKIES BEFORE USING AAS!!! Just saying thanks you guys know your shit.
 
im disagree,i know guys in real life who are 18% and more of bf who cycle,,remember not everyone does it for the beach body some do it for purly strength ,powerlifters have real high bf and they juice

Lartinos I see from a theoretical point of view where you are coming from and if it was a ratio over 25% then would want to take into other factors such as age and blood pressure etc. but 18% is not enough to be deemed unsafe to use steroids. My best mate would be above 18%, just naturally finds it hard to lose weight, can run a hell of alot further than I can (I suck haha) and is very strong - his genetics just arent really geared towards a 6 pack but more broad shoulders, big back and arms and a bit of a gut haha - but his strength his through the roof. Anway point im making is this is all green lighted by our doctor
 
all i think lartinos is saying is that if those are his stats and thats the best he can do and is now giving up and believes aas is the only way to get better results it will not benefit at all. there is clearly a diet and/or training issue that needs to be addressed before juicing. bg% does depend on ur goals. look at most strongmen pretty high body fat. more of his stats would need be required to properly assess his situation but if he has only been training for 5 years seriously i doubt he is benching numerous plates per side. lots of ppl use steroids to get where they want and then lose all the gains because there are other problems that need changing moreso than just the weights they are lifting
