Did your mother ever tell you that the best thing to do would be to Ignore?

Lmao - as if people haven't started threads with other members names. Don't you have things to do? Just curious -

She calls the zoo.. the 'Zooup'

She goes through everything we did / saw:

Zooup
Choo-Choo Traim
Baby Ewefant
Odder
Monkeys
Big Kitty
BwillyGoats
Stinky Pigs
Merry-Round
Bears

Then she starts all over again.

I just turned 18 in that pic. I still had baby fat and that was before I trained crazy style and actually trained my body. Now, I've leaned out tremendously and for some reason my body can handle nearly anything... back then i couldn't eat whatever I wanted.. not sure why.

If I were to live off of donuts, icecream, etc, that wouldn't work but you know what I mean. :)

P.S. That was in 2002. Dog was less than half her weight, ticks the size of quarters that infested her ear so bad she almost had to have it removed, low platelet number, blood issues, bleached furr (she's darker now), and it goes on...

She's fine now.

I did have to work at it being 19/29/20 because I had that baby fat that didn't want to go away and I loved the challenge. But now that I worked at it for awhile, it stays off for some reason. I haven't had a real training program in one year.. I haven't truly worked out in about 9 months (I needed a long break real badly), and for some reason, through all the dieting and training, I feel as if I trained my body so to speak, and now it wants to conform to that shape I taught it. Who knows... I was a nutto. LOL. The one thing that's great is through so much trial and error I've learned exactly what my body needs to lean out in a matter of days.. all the hard work paid off. hehe.

Thanks for the compliment and isn't Thira cuutteeeeee.? :)

Thanks. I'm a softy when it comes to animals. The minute she came up to me starving on the beach it was over. I got back to the hotel and I looked at my dad and started crying and he knew exactly what I was planning on doing. And I was very thankful he let me go through with it. I learned a lot though, through this process of importing a foreign dog.

EVERYONE asked me, "Does she speak Greek?" I was about to shoot myself by the time the 20th person asked me that. LOL.

Some girls when they are teens get that baby fat. I did later... developed later, late bloomer, blah blah. I looked really really young until I was probably 18 or 19. Now that fat melted away.. no idea.. everyone's different I guess.

Pregnant? Hell no. I was too busy playing sports, going to school, hanging with my friends, volunteering, enjoying summer on vacations, etc. :)

like i've ever held my tongue. that's what I have you for.

but i wasn't referring to any one in particular, just the people who say something nasty and then try to soften it with "just sayin'".

I used the word "bitch" in the broadest of ways...

IP, great pics.
Ok wait, this dog you found when u were in Greece?! How long ago?
She looked damn skinny!
Makes my heart melt when I see an animal get a second chance.
This past weekend my friends neighbor got another dog (they save stray dogs) and the new husky they have is 4-7 months old (they are not sure). She was found on the side of the highway after being hit by a car.
Her back left leg was amputated 3 weeks ago. She was running around like a totally normal puppy. She was happy and healthy.
You ROCK too girl.......hug for you and your pup :-)

Yup - in Greece on the island of Santorini. She found me, though. Came up to me while i was laying on the beach starving, looking for food. =(.

This was awhile ago. In 2002. But Thira's still going and happy. :) She was VERY skinny. Less than half her weight, actually. Now she's over 40lbs but when I found her she was 20. :( She had to go through quarantine there for about 2 weeks (so the pics at home were about 2-3 weeks AFTER she was getting IV fluids (too sick to eat). Greece is a rabee free country so the quarantine wasn't as long. But when she arrived, I took her to the vet here. She's the sweetest thing ever. SHe killed this HUGE rabbit though awhile ago and it was so funny because from what I remember, they don't have rodents like that in Greece and she was amazed by it and brought it to the house to show everyone. LOL.

P.S. Weird. That white husky with crystal blue eyes that i was tellin' everyone about here that's at the clinic, same situation. Hit by a car. Pelvis shattered.. they put everything back together with screws and she's healing now. Going to make a wonderful pet. Amazing and intelligent dog.

Great story. I love when you say "she found me". That's how I feel about my cats. They all came to my yard.
I can't believe she killed a rabbit. That's so out of character for a dog though.

Huskies are wonderful dogs and what a coincidence about both of our stories. If my cats where not terrified of dogs, I would have a few dogs.

Yeah - well, she was used to starving so I am sure that if they had creatures like that in Greece she would have killed them for food - lol. My two shepherds would never kill a rabbit but I do know a few dogs that would (I think by accident, though because they'd want to play with the rabbit). My big mama shepherd, Bama, brought a new born rabbit that had somehow gotten out of his little hole, to my dad in her mouth (very gentley). My dad got a paper towel and put him back and he actually did fine. The mom didn't leave him (I was afraid she would smell Bama and flip). It was so cute though.

that makes sense. She was a survivor.

I’ve never been to Greece. I’ve been all through Europe and the Mediterranean, not to mention the shitty gulf and Iraq but all the countries in the Mediterranean are really nice. I keep telling my wife I should get a job over there as an aviation electrician (my navy job) but as a civilian and we can hop all over there to different countries and have a blast.
